In Feb/March 2007 Kevin Lindegaard is running 4 training events for South West farmers. The events, funded by the Farm Business Advice Service, will focus on wind energy options, biomass, anaerobic digestion, micro renewables and biodiesel.

Profile - Managing Director, Kevin Lindegaard

Kevin spent 9 years working at Long Ashton Research Station as the plant breeder in charge of the European Willow Breeding Programme. He has also worked with the Swedish company Agrobransle AB and its UK offshoot Renewable Fuels. He was responsible for breeding high yielding and disease resistant willow varieties including: Beagle, Quest, Resolution, Discovery, Terra Nova, Nimrod and Endeavour.

Kevin has a vast theoretical and practical background in all aspects of environmental science, trees, horticulture and renewable energy. His qualifications include: BSc in Environmental Biology, MSc in Plant Breeding, General Certificate in Arboriculture, Open University qualification in Renewable Energy, VRQ in Renewable Energy (Wood Fuels).

Kevin has had articles on renewable energy published in the Guardian and the Farmers Weekly. He was also the author of definitive papers on breeding willows and UK variety ranking trials. In collaboration with former National Willows Officer Kenneth Stott OBE, he is currently researching and writing a book on the British history of willows.
