Fernhill Farm

IMG_7331

Fernhill Farm is an ambitious renovation of a derelict 17th century farmhouse and farm buildings linked by a mini district heating scheme. The biomass boiler installed is a 70 kilowatt Froling log boiler which requires 23 tonnes of woodfuel per year. The boiler was installed before the Renewable Heat Incentive was launched. This case study was produced on behalf of Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
